Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993

A federal regulation that provides employees who have been employed at least 12 months and have worked at least 1,250 hours within that 12 month period up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year, while maintaining the employees group health benefits during the leave.
